Cyprus Swim Series combines sports, racing and tourism in a safe and well organised open water challenge.

With an impressive choice of accommodation options paired with safe and friendly atmosphere, participants as well as spectators from abroad can enjoy an International Open Water event early in the season. Whether you are a beginner in open water swimming or an elite professional in the sport this event is for you!

In 2020 Cyprus Swim Series will host two distances of 3Km and 5Km making this an ideal event for triathletes and other endurance athletes as well as swimmers. Our event ambassador and Rio 2016 Olympic Silver medallist, Spyridon Gianniotis will be there to encourage and support all participants while the day prior to the event we are going to be discussing the concept of success and failure with him at the “Fair Play and Olympic Ideals” seminar.

START DAY Training starts on Monday. Athletes are expected to arrive on Sunday.
END DAY Last day of training is Friday. Departures are scheduled for Sunday.

Our aim for the week is for each athlete is to have fun, learn nd make new memories to take back to their home club. Our training camps usually comprise of 9 x 2 hour swimming sessions for 7 day holidays and accompanied by dry land and stretching exercises.

Mayfair Hotel

This hotel provides a high standard of accommodation with a wide range of facilities and amenities. Combined with the friendly and pleasant atmosphere, make it ideal for couples and families s looking for a peaceful and relaxing or active holiday. The establishment comprises a total of 262 accommodation units, including, twins, doubles and family rooms. The hotel’s immediate vicinity is home to plenty of tavernas, shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, nightlife spots and public transport links. A big shopping centre (Paphos Mall) is 400 meters away and nearby sights and attractions include Agia Solomoni catacomb (950 metres), the Old Market (1,5 km), the harbour and Medieval castle (1,5 km) and the tombs of the Kings (2 km).

1. Non swimmers

This trip is well suited to non-training partners and families. The 4 star resort has an abundance of activities and amenities, including multiple pools, game rooms, restaurants, and a luxury spa. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach and the port, which are bustling with shops and restaurants. Other island activities include hiking, touring and camel-back riding.

2. Single travellers and twin to share

Single travellers are welcome on all our camps, holidays and tours! We trust that you will have a great time and meet like minded people. As a single traveller you can have a single room or if you want to avoid the single supplement we can pair you up with another rider (of the same sex) so you can join us without having to pay extra.

3. Getting There

Transfers from and to Pafos International Airport (PFO) are included in your package. However, if you need to travel to Larnaca International Airport (LCA) a number of options are also available. Please look at our Larnaca Transfers page for further information.

4. What to Bring

All swimmers will need to bring fins and snorkel. Either bring your own if you have it, or please order your kit from us and it will be waiting for you on your arrival. We recommend and sell Finis Zoomers or Z2, and Finis snorkels. We have plenty of kick boards and pull buoys so there is no need to bring them. Bring your goggles (we have a range of mirrored and tinted goggles for sale at the pool), swimsuits, caps and plenty of waterproof, high protection sunscreen at FACTOR 50.

5. Food

Packages include Full Board catering can be tailored to suit vegetarian, vegan and other diets. Please get in touch to let us know about your special dietary requirements.

6. General, visa, passport and health information

7. Medical certificate

To participate in one of our camps you need to fill in medical form or have a medical certificate signed by your doctor within the last year from the camp date. You can find the medical form here.

8. Travel Insurance

9. How to Book

Click on the Book Now at the top right hand of the page. At time of booking we require a non-refundable deposit per person plus any applicable entry fee. The balance of your travel package must be paid, at the latest, 4 weeks before departure to avoid the cancellation of your trip. Please look here for our full booking terms.

Geroskipou Sports Centre

The Sports Centre was built in 2005 according to International standards and can offer high quality training to professional and non-professional sport groups. International sports teams and individual athletes can fully focus on their off-season training, their event or on their pre-racing preparations. The Geroskipou Sports Centre is located within walking distance from most hotels in Kato Paphos area. 

Both the swimming pool and running track are equipped with a light gym and floodlights in order to allow night training while spacious car parking is available. The Geroskipou stadium abides by every modern sports facilities’ standards with its field lawn and track hosting both football games and athletics. It has a seating capacity for 3500 people, covered seats and all the necessary facilities. The open-air swimming pool was built according to Olympic standards, 50m x 25m with 10 lanes and can host all kinds of water sports. The pool which is heated during winter months, has all the necessary facilities and a seating capacity of 700 covered seats.
